Hexagon Quilt

I have completed my hexagon applique quilt at long last.
My friend Margaret sent me a photo of her quilt some time ago and I liked it so much decided to make one for myself.
It was from a Patchwork and quilting magazine, now I have many P & Q's but couldn't find the particular one, so I went ahead and made it from the photo, I had papers left over from the other 3 hexagon quilts I had done, it is good to be crazy :-)
I hand quilted it, should have taken a photo of the back, it is all different squares, I would never do that again when I was going to hand quilt , learnt that lesson the hard way. oh well, we live and learn. ....hugs for now.

Friday and Saturday

I was meant to open my stocking parcel on Friday and the reasons I didn't are because I spent Friday with my grandson, isn't he cute.

Then Saturday was spent shopping, apart from the usual Sat groceries, I got this lovely club set, hope it improves my golf game...hugs Lyn

Introducing myself and my life as a Loving Wife with a huggable lovely DH, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Friend.
I am a 60+ patchworker, quilter, who loves to read.
This year I feel that I have been patching life .
In January we celebrated the birth of my first dear grandson and in a
few short months we lost Mum, here they are pictured together on
Mum's birthday, Valentines day this year.
Up till now I feel that I have been living in a fugue, but this week I joined a contours Gym, been for a swim this morning and am starting to feel part of the landscape once more, so hopefully I will be sharing some of my happy times and my craft with you. hugs Lyn
